btunited, LostBoyz, Ulli and 4 others like this!
Blender and I do not get along but I somehow managed to find some real nice tricks for editing the embedded texture files in GLB-models and keep the edited texture embedded in the GLB-file at export. I.e. no need for referencing a separate edited texture file on the harddisk like I posted about earlier.
It works for animated models as well and I also managed to do sculpting on an animated model and it came out flwlessly to Blufftitler.
The first 5 seconds in the clip here is on a non-edited model and the last part is the edited version. Very basic. I enlargened the biceps and nose, changed the color of the suspenders to blue and the color of the nose to something more suited to christmas.
Don't ask me how I did it, the UI of Blender is a mystery to me and always a very frustrating user experience. Repeating a procedure in Blender does not always get the same result from one time to another, especially when doing Texture Painting and Sculpting. Like to get into "painting on the model"-mode you have to, sometimes, click on and off the model twice. I see very little logic there.
So be it. When importing an animated GLB model to Blender, you can also enter "Pose mode" which sounds promising but I have not expored that function yet.
Nice work PiPPi. I agree Blender is not easy: I gave up.

When you have cleared the bushy Blender for us, you will prepare a super tuto.😉

Vincent,
: ) I actually started making a setup for a tutorial on this but found it a tad frustrating. I haven't given up just yet though.
Thanks to all for the feedback.

Thank you PiPPi for this tutorial about GLB models usable by BluffTitler. Blender is indigestible and requires a lot of time and work. I had abandoned it and BluffTitler made me come back to it. With a minimum of basic courses, I manage to get out of it what I want for BT. It's not always easy and perfect, I'm happy with it and it's very pleasant. Especially since Michiel is always there to correct us and indicate the whole thing to follow...
Above Santa Claus that I modified and shared with the community that will be used for my next video card.
Thanks again and keep up the good work.
