Proshow does not support transparent videos, but it can use another video as a mask. You can create this mask video by applying the Export/CheckAlpha.fx effect to the camera layer, setting the FX Show Alpha Channel property to 1 and exporting your video as Uncompressed AVI with Transparency.
This trick works in the Gold (light) as well as the Producer version.
