Hi, I'm looking for a way, or existing show, that can show regression in time...as against time passing ( hourglass, clouds, etc.).
I want to go back to the war years to show the subject as a child, then gradually coming back to the present through existing photos. It's
for a 50th anniversary video. Any info or ideas please, thanx, Pete.
There are so many ways you can do that, it really depends on how you want the show presented.
One concept I can think of is loading all the pictures in the same space, give all the picture layers a transparency and then remove the transparency one picture at a time as you move down the timeline. Lining up the eyes as you go makes this technic look similar to a morphing effect also.
Another technic is load the pictures one at a time at places scattered throughout the scene, each time moving the camera as you go down the time line to square off with where you place each new picture. To this technic you can add an image/video loop to full screen or a plasma layer in the background so you don't have a blank field as you move from picture to picture.

Another approach could be 'morphing' the pictures.
See YouTube example.
Finding a good (free) program is not that easy though.
