vincent, SparkyVegas, pietro aleotta and 12 others like this!
All 3D models in version 15.8.0.2, launched today, are now in the OBJ format.
The OBJ format is even older than the X format, but for some reason it has evolved into the most popular exchange format: OBJ can be exported and imported by just about every 3D modelling app. Stock sites also offer most of their models in the OBJ format.
Even Windows 11 has built-in OBJ support. Double click on one of the models in the BluffTitler/Media/Models folder and it is opened by the 3D Viewer app.
In the screenshot you can see how Bix looks in BluffTitler and in the 3D Viewer app.
To stay compatible with old shows, BluffTitler still supports the X format, but for new projects try to use the OBJ format.
To make it easier to open old shows using X files from an old installer, BluffTitler automatically loads the OBJ file when it can't find the X file.
As always, the latest version can be downloaded from the download page:

Thank you Michiel and the Bluff team for all these great updates and enhancements.
Is there an app that can easily expoty X files to OBJ?

Thank you all!
Vincent, yes, that would be nice!
Lightads, there are many 3D model format conversion tools: Google on "convert x obj".
