To overlay the lower thirds onto your video:
-make the BACKGROUND container layer invisible (unmark the VISIBLE checkbox)
-export the video with transparency info (choose FILE > EXPORT AS VIDEO...)
-import the video in your NLE: outerspace-software.com...

For short clips you could also do the mixing in BluffTitler by using a video layer.
