chaver, liuyongcai, Tintin and 15 others like this!

After steadily adding new features for 1.5 years, it's time for a big new version number. Version 14.0 is here!

Hottest new feature in this latest release is the plasma generated HDR displacement map. This turned out to be super useful for creating colourful backgrounds for all kinds of projects.

We've had so much fun playing around with this that we decided to turn it into a BixPack.

Here's the deal

-Version 14.0 is a FREE upgrade:

-Purchase BixPack 27 if you want ready-to-use templates and/or support the future development of BluffTitler:

V14 introduces Perlin noise in the plasma layer. This new style works excellent when using the plasma layer as a displacement map.

The full list of new features of V14 can be found here:

The installer comes with 3 demo shows that demonstrate how to use plasma generated HDR displacement maps:
Plasma\PlasmaAsDisplacementmap1.bt
Plasma\PlasmaAsDisplacementmap2.bt
Plasma\PlasmaAsDisplacementmap3.bt

The user guide has also been updated:

Plasma as a landscape generator.

Michiel would it be possible to give the picture a texture that is NOT used to determine the height of a displacementmap?

Or even better

Landscapes are now one colour, it would be nice to give them a gradient colour based on height to get a landscape generator within Blufftitler like in the image.

Thank you very much Michiel :)

Komies, landscapes do not have to be one colour.

With the AdvancedMaterials\ColourmapDisplacementmapCubemap effect you can combine colourmapping with displacementmapping: one texture for the colours and one for the heights.

The effect even supports a cubemap in the 3rd texture slot for the reflections!

Michiel...thank you for another version....ARGH!
But I got the Jam,Jelly & Juice Bix pack along with three others I
needed to fill me up with all 27. Appreciate the sale.

Have you considered an Outerspace College only on planet Earth?
Think I'd like to go. May have to sleep under a bridge, but I'd love it!

Dear Michiel,
great work, this plasma layer upgrade opens up unknown worlds.
It's a very powerful tool, I'm doing some tests and they come
out of things that are hard to imagine.

Thank You so much !!

In the picture: 2 additive blending plasma, 1 with HoneyComb Shader, all use as colormap
