chaver, komies, Eddy and 7 others like this!

Do you like ?
the difficulty is in turning the cube without letting it enter the floor!

Often things are more complicated than they appear to be

@vincent
It's not at all what I think when I look at your shows ! :-)

JP, but that does not mean that what seems complicated are always simple to realize ?, but sometimes yes.

maybe I had to create the floor better because it is cut, it would have been more beautiful shaded on the horizon

Franco Aversa, 6 years ago

The floor doesn't need to be directly under the cube.

Also when using a skybox or plasma you can created the illusion of a floor and strengthen it with fast shadows floor level.

But also the mirror layer with or without a texture with or without soft-border filter effect with no clipping is a great option.

You can use effects/special/GradientFeather.cfx to create soft borders on the (mirror or not) floor too, camera fog can be intersting to try

vincent, 6 years ago

Or a transparant texture .png that already has a softborder like some of the flare textures with or without colourmapcolourmap.cfx or mirror layer.

Your animation is great Komies,
but I liked to show that the cube rolled up on the corner,
I had to raise and lower the cube according to its position.
it could have been better, but it was still a test.
I must definitely try as you suggested for the floor

Thanks to all.

I tried to move the point of rotation on the corner of the cube, but it works only once, then the cube moves position if you try to change it again.

Just to be clear,

Those cube animations are from B.Projects formally known as Maitegras.
