Here's an updated version of the Picture\Skybox effect.
This version adds fog, mirror, sky size properties and also fixes an embarrassing bug. The new version is backwards compatible, so you can safely replace the old version in the BluffTitler/Media/Effects/Picture folder.
To use this effect:
-create a new picture layer by choosing LAYER > ADD LAYER > ADD PICTURE LAYER...
-set the 1st layer style to SPHERE
-set the 2nd layer style to SKYBOX
-set the 3rd layer style to SINGLE SIDED
-choose MEDIA > CHANGE EFFECT and select this skybox effect
-in the same dialog, place a 360˚ DDS picture in texture slot 1, or an equirectangular 360˚ JPG or PNG picture in texture slot 2 (both can be created with Bixorama outerspace-software.com... )
Yes, this is a lot of tedious work that has to be done every time you want to add a skybox. For this reason the next version of BluffTitler will introduce an ADD SKYBOX LAYER... menu item that automates all this for you!
On the screenshot you can see 3 layers, all using the same DDS file:
-a picture layer using the Picture/Skybox effect
-a text layer using the Cubemap effect
-a model layer using the Cubemap effect

360˚ video can become big, and it's nice to hear and see that Outerspace-Software is on this next big thing.
1. Will the skybox still be available as picture style? So you can use a other .Cfx than the skybox.cfx?
2. What's your experience with 360˚ video as skybox, does it require much pre-editing before using it into Blufftitler, like stitching, converting the 2 spherical (spheremap) video's to a equirectangular(skybox) video.
Can't wait to try it out in August?

1. Yes. For example the ProceduralTextures\Horizon effect works great. You can try this yourself in the current version. You might have to switch from SINGLE SIDED to FLAT to make it visible.
2. The RICOH THETA ( theta360.com ) produces JPG pictures in the equirectangular format, ready for use. The videos are in a strange 2 circle format, but their "Computer application Basic App" can convert it to an equirectangular MP4 video. When you have the K-Lite Codec Pack installed, BluffTitler happily plays this video using the Skybox effect. You can try this as well in the current version.

I may be able to inergrate this into the promos.
I have the Demo but really have not seen the need for videos.
But this looks cool just got to be sure i will use it.

SamSaam, in the LAYER > ACTIVE LAYER PROPERTIES... dialog you can find a LINK field. This is the show that is opened when you click on the layer.
You can use a picture or a text layer as a button.
To prevent you lose your work when you accidentally click on a link when editing, the links only work when the show has been saved.
