Changing a text is as easy as editing the textbox on the toolwindow. But how do you find the right layer? This article describes a few techniques.
1) EXAMINE THE LAYERS DROPDOWN
The layers dropdown can be found above the PLAY button on the toolwindow. When the show has only a few layers it won't be difficult to find the layer you are looking for.
2) CONTROl F
Press CONTROl F, enter the text of the layer you're looking for, press OK and BluffTitler will select the layer using this text. Press CONTROL G to find the next layer using the same text.
3) VISIBLE CHECKBOX
Temporarily unmarking the VISIBLE checkbox (at the right side of the toolwindow) can confirm you have selected the right layer.
4) CONTROl SHIFT
When holding down the CONTROl and SHIFT keys, only the active layer is rendered. This can confirm you have selected the right layer.
5) DOUBLE CLICK ON IT
You can select a layer by double clicking on it.
6) RENAME YOUR LAYER
When you press CONTROL Q or choose LAYER > ACTIVE LAYER PROPERTIES... you can give the active layer a name. This name will be visible in the layers dropdown, making it easier to find.
The CONTROL F and CONTROl Q methods require version 8.4 or higher.
Hi Michiel
When I try Ctrl F that doesn't work as you mention.
Instead of a search box, I get a message saying
Are you sure you would like to change all fonts into "Arial Black"?
I'm still on 8.3.1.5 at the moment.

2) CONTROl F
Press CONTROl F, enter the text of the layer you're looking for, press OK and BluffTitler will select the layer using this text. Press CONTROL G to find the next layer using the same text.
Could this option be extended to search the layer names as well as the text?

Maybe we can add a few radio buttons:
Search on:
-text
-name
-texture filename
-effect
-...

That would be awesome - thanks.
