Great work and I've always loved gears.

That's the steampunk version of a Jack-in-the-box. I love it!

Maybe the emissive/glow feature of the GLB model format isn't as rare as we thought because this model uses it in 2 places. Here's a comparison. The right picture has been created with the latest beta.

Great work.

Thanks everyone.

Michiel, it isn't that rare at all. I've attached examples from the Microsoft 3D Viewer Library. Seeing that glow feature is really cool!

Thor5ten, 2 years ago

Thor5ten, I see glow opportunities in your screenshots, but not the actual glow.

I recognize the UFO in the upper right. This model indeed has emissive parts. Here's how the UFO looks in the latest BluffTitler beta. Do you see the difference with your screenshot?

Instead of screenshots, please post download locations. This way we can test the models. Thank you!

Michiel, I meant seeing the glow in your beta screenshot.

I made screenshots from the models because - like I've said - the models are all from the builtin Windows 3D viewer library. Therefore I can't link them and due to language differences I cannot tell you, how they are called in your version. Dimming the lights in the 3D viewer shows you potentially emissive model textures.

The steam really makes it come alive, well done.

It's kinda funny how we figure things out despite language barriers.

The glow effect has me very excited.

Thor5ten, I could not find the floating mushroom island, but did find a single mushroom with glowing eyes. Here's another comparison. As you can see, the glow makes a huge difference!

Thank you Filip and Decentralized. Being on different Windows localizations isn't always easy.

Michiel, I really love the glow in your screenshots. Makes the Mushroom look even meaner. 😁 The mushroom island is called "Fantasy-Diorama" in the German version and can be found under "Sci-Fi und Fantasy". Not to be confused with another one called "Fantasiediorama".

Totally selfless 😉 I'd like to point out the following artist's models, which feature a lot of emissive elements: sketchfab.com...
Oh, and this should look awesome, too, using the glow effect: sketchfab.com...

Fantastic show Thor5ten!

Classy! Love it!

Thor5ten, I found it! On my system the model is called "Fantastical Diorama".

Maybe glow isn't as rare as we thought, but the players that support it sure are. Here's a comparison. On the left Windows 3D Viewer and on the right the latest BluffTitler beta.

Nice Show Thor5ten. Putting Bix, our treasured love, in a chest is good, you have to protect it! Especially since Michiel promises us great improvements. A small audio track with steam whistles, mechanical clancks, squeaks, etc... would have been nice! But it's still great.

Michiel, BT view is magic!

vincent, 2 years ago

Thanks Vincent and Alex-Raymond - the sound department is my weak spot.

OMG, Michiel, that's literally a difference like day and night. Definitely can't wait for the update. 😍

This thing's eyes will be very bright then 🙂

LostBoyz, I have tested this model. Unfortunately, it does not feature glowing elements.

But it is possible to glow a submodel by marking the GLOW checkbox in the LAYER > ACTIVE LAYER PROPERTIES... dialog. This way not only his eyes, but his whole head glows. This looks like this.

michiel, 2 years ago

His head shines beautifully 😀

LostBoyz, 2 years ago

Yes, but I think it would look a lot better when only the eyes would glow.

michiel, 2 years ago

That is true.

LostBoyz, 2 years ago

I think it is possible for its eyes to shine, no?

LostBoyz, 2 years ago

No, this model also does not feature glowing parts.

michiel, 2 years ago

then it's not a shining model 😀

LostBoyz, 2 years ago

LostBoyz, I think this is what you are looking for.

We're trying to have the new version with the glow feature released as soon as possible.
