SMSgtRod, crispin, Ulli and 7 others like this!

I've spent most of yesterday downloading and installing the Windows October 2018 update.

Everything works fine. Here are 2 things relevant for BluffTitler:

Emoji 11.0

Windows now supports emoji 11:
emojipedia.org...

We now have a ginger man and woman. Plus a superhero and a supervillain!

To be able to mix emoji characters with other fonts, BluffTitler has to be learned which characters are emoji and which of them are supported by Windows. We're currently adding support for the new emoji and will launch an update next week.

If you encounter non-emoji 11 emoji that are not supported in the current version, let us know and they will be added as well!

Dark mode

The Windows dark mode now also makes the file dialog dark. But that's about it. For some reason the colours of the apps stay white. That's a pity because it would save developers a lot of time if this would work: outerspace-software.com...

To activate the dark mode, right click on desktop, choose Personalize, choose Colors and set the Default app mode to Dark.

Because it's world animal day, here are the new animals of emoji 11.0.

Weird choices. Why they left out the axolotl is beyond me. Luckily in BluffTitler you can replace any emoji by your own picture:

Which font should I set to make them appear?

Franco Aversa, 6 years ago

Franco, you can't.

We're currently adding support for the new emoji and will launch an update next week.
