This is a nice version but my favorite is the Henri Salvador very bossa version.
He is already 82 years old when he sings this piece, yet his voice remains perfect.

I tried to learn some French by listening to the lyrics. But in this case it's very confusing. What is a "soleil vert"? Sounds like a cool sci-fi concept! Maybe you can create a video to explain this 🟢.

There was a scifi movie (1973) named Soleil Vert (in french) Soylent Green (original title).
But here "Soleil vert" maybe corresponds to an impossible wish to come true (je voudrais du soleil vert = I would like green sunshine).
Moreover in this song all the sentences end in AIR so Soleil Vert is also there for the rhyme !

....athmosphère etc...
All these words have their last syllable which is pronounced the same way (AIR in French)
Apart from that, to my knowledge SOLEIL VERT does not correspond to any particular expression in French.
