Thor5ten, bambamD, xinyi and 2 others like this!

In Sketchfab when you rotate the model you can see realistic distorded reflections in glass.
Do you think it could be possible to render them in BT.

I suppose there is a technical reason why BT does not reproduce this kind of reflections

Actually that's pretty amazing. The shrooms are real looking but in reflections they are distorted as expected.

That's a very cool model!

It must be a Sketchfab effect because all players I tried render it similar to BluffTitler.

Here's an article from NVIDIA about achieving this effect:

I try many of the Sketchfab settings on one of my models but i don't find the parameter which creates these realistic reflections on glass.

Thor5ten, the article is a little to much technical, I don't have sufficient skills in graphics.
What is curious is that we should find a refraction parameter in Sketchfab but I can't find it unless I haven't looked carefully

The model works great in a mash-up with other models and a skybox!

Very cool picture michiel !

At the end of this Sketchfab article it says where to find the parameter:

Hi Thor5ten, ok i see now, thank you very much.

you require a displacement map. so it's not a reflection. you have to displace the image or object by another object
to follow the shape of the glass. then to this, add your reflection of the glass. so in some 3d aps you can use the actual 3d object as the displacement itself. since the reflection follows the shape of the object there is no reason why BT cannot create a displacement option at the same time. BT is already halfway there. so in BT SHOWS check the mirror ball = displaces the image or object = the same thing
