I haven't touched any of the old V11 effects for more than 8 years now, but here's one that Snafu reminded me of that can be useful.
This example uses numbers, but by editing the texture you can use any text and even pictures!
If you want we can make a decent modern version of this effect.

Yes cool effect maybe a new effect with new map textures possibilities could be nice.
I made untimely use of this effect for this old show.
Split flap displays : en.wikipedia.org...
For announcements, I prefer them to our flat screens (nostalgia), and there is this characteristic flap sound when they come into action

Hi Michiel,
this effect is very powerful. Even on much more renowned software, it is used
a little time to create an effect that BluffTitler has already been ready for years 🤣😂
It would be nice if there was a system to get the filmstrip automatically,
or that there was a text area attached to this effect in order to make it more
simple yet.
It's true that with the filmstrip it also allows you to upload drawings, it comes to mind
that by flipping many screens, a large composite image could be created
like a mosaic.
For the rest, I repeat, it is a great effect, and anything would only be an improvement.
