Sma, LostBoyz, SMSgtRod and 10 others like this!

Version 13.6.0.1, published today, fixes 2 minor bugs:
-the SHADOW PLANE POSITION property of the light layer is now enabled for the PROJECTED SHADOWS style.
-the BEVEL property of the text layer is now enabled if a child text layer needs it. (for example when using the WIREFRAME style)

It fixes 1 major bug:
-playlists with an audio or video stream used by 2 or more slides in a row now play correctly in preview mode.

And introduces 1 new effect:
-the PROCEDURALTEXTURES/CHROME effect generates a gradient horizon and uses it as a reflectionmap. It's not as flexible as using a texture, but can save time because you no longer have to edit the texture in a paint app every time you want to change the colours.

A demo show comes with the installer:
BluffTitler\Media\Shows\Text\Chrome.bt

Thank you all for the reports and suggestions!

Great Michiel,
you think that I had just come to mind to ask you an effect so in the text to do fast the shades of color.
Very good the plane for shadow is so simple impost a shadow now !!

Michiel, I don't understand the Bevel adjustment,
you could make a practical example, please ?

Franco Aversa, 7 years ago

Great procedural texture, Michiel

Gives it that 80's look. All we need now is a 3d grid :)

Thank you Michiel for the new update...

Nice Alex, chrome is interesting applied to models too!

vincent, 7 years ago

Thank you all!

Yes Vincent, it can be applied to all layer types!

Komies, you don't have to go back to the 80ties. When using blue colours, you can recreate the Apple aqua look ? I'm sure a reflected horizon will always be used. It's probably the colours (and the flares!) that can make it dated.

Franco, maybe these screenshots can help. No problem to create a new article to ask a question. This will also make it easier for other users who are googling the same question.

Sorry, Michiel,
...my terrible English.... my post isn't amiss (out of the post).
I was referring to improvements in the Bevel command
"-the BEVEL property of the text layer is now enabled if a child text layer needs it. (for example when using the WIREFRAME style)"
this means that if I add a border the bevel command also works in this?
This I did not understand well, the bevel command I know how it works.
Sorry if I was wrong in expressing!

Franco Aversa, 7 years ago

The BEVEL property is also used by some other text layer styles, for example WIREFRAME, TUBULAR ROUND and TUBULAR SQUARE. It controls the thickness of the tubes.

When a child text layer uses this style, the BEVEL property of the parent is used. So it's important that this prop is enabled in the parent layer or else you can't change the thickness.

It happens, for example, when you click on the ATTACH BORDER TO ACTIVE LAYER... button and select the EDGES SILVER preset.

Thank you, Michiel,
then I understand more or less correctly.

Thanks Michiel, for this update and for all the things that are magical with Blufftitler.
