Tintin, michiel, irina1208 and 3 others like this!

Buildings in the background jump at the start, and I have no idea why?
The subway and person don't actually move. The background moves because everything is in one container and that's what has the motion on it. It was done that way because originally I only had the skybox. But felt it was too plain.

Here is the show if anyone wants to take a look at it.

I already have this problem without knowing why. I suspected a short looping video in the show without being sure.
I'm sure michiel will have an explanation.

Nice.

I thought the stuttering was deliberate to simulate the bumpy subway ride 😁

Moving along a straight line at a constant speed sounds like the easiest thing to do, but in fact is very hard because it makes it easy for your eyes/brain to see every single hiccup. Same problem with 2D scrollers. If the scroller isn't rendered at an absolute fixed framerate it looks horrible. Ironically, doing complex 3D rotations at variable speeds is easier because the hiccups are not noticed.

I can see the problem when playing in realtime, but when exported as MP4 it was as smooth as it could be. Maybe the variable bit rate causes the problem: temporarily jumping to a higher bitrate means more CPU time for the player to decode the video and could cause a jump in the playback framerate. And yes this is problematic when YouTube controls the re-encoding settings.

Things you could try:
-exporting in a higher resolution (QHD or even UHD)
-exporting in a higher framerate (60 fps)
-encoding in a fixed bit rate (in your NLE after exporting as uncompressed in BT)
-adding motion blur (in your NLE)

Vincent, yes this is true. Just like video encoding settings we feel this is out of scope for BluffTitler and can best be done as postprocessing in your NLE.

sorry michiel, i just removed comment where I said that in the past there was a blur effect setting in BT.
And indeed there are so many video parameters that you have to leave that to ad hoc softwares.

Thank you for the help.
That did the trick Michiel.
4k UHD
and frame rate of 90
Thank you very much. I put the post video on unlisted, and here is the fixed version (problem solved)

Happy to see the fixed result 🤗

How about adding an overlay? Here's a quick mashup using a BixPack 47 template. I can see it working with your AI projects as well.

Cool and glad your problem is solved.

Thanks Vincent.
And that's a very good idea Michiel, I like it.
