Hi Michiel (and everyone!),
Is there a newer CFX effect that has features like in the old DogEars.fx? In particular, DogEars had the ability to bend (fold actually) part of text or picture at a sharp angle down, separate the bent portion from the non-bent portion if desired, and color the bent portion differently than the non-bent portion.
I've tried Bender.cfx to get similar bends, but they are curvy smooth and not sharp angles like DogEars could do. Also, I have no idea how to recreate the property "FX Flap Rotation Centre Offset" which actually separates the bent upper portion of the text away form the lower as it is bending, nor the "FX Flap Color" which changes the color of the upper bent part too.

In version 16.3.0.2, launched today, you can find the V11_DogEars effect in the Effects/V11 folder.
