Alex-Raymond T., Krista, Tintin and 5 others like this!

I have a LOT to learn about particle manipulation, but here is a start for you SamSam. I can't seem to figure out how to make the particles (leaves) appear while animating the writer property of the sketch, so I left it out. When I animate writer, the leaves lag behind. I hoped for a more realistic "growth" as the sketch "wrote" out. Also not sure how to anchor the stems to the branch. They are close...

Any suggestions are appreciated!

By the way, I had fun creating the "leaf" particle in Inkscape myself, so there are no copyright issues. Feel free to use it yourself.

I hope this help...

I have been playing with your show. Nice fresh texture, I wish it was spring again 🌿

To produce this screenshot I made the following adjustments:

Sketch layer:
-switch from SQUARE to CIRCLE (1st dropdown)
-switch from ATTACHED LAYERS POINT UPWARDS to ATTACHED LAYERS FOLLOW SKETCH (2nd dropdown)

Particle layer:
-switch from 2D CIRCLES to 2D RECTANGLES (1st dropdown)
-switch from POINTING RANDOMLY to POINTING FLIGHT DIRECTION (2nd dropdown)
-set LAUNCH SPEED to 0.01 (to give it a minimal flight direction)
-set EMISSION to 100
-set MIN/MAX PARTICLES to (0, 10000) (default value)
-set LIFETIME to 10
-set PARTICLE SIZE to (5, 0, 0)
-set GRID to (0, 0, 0) (this removes the grid)
-set DEPTH BIAS to 0
-mark the SORT ELEMENTS checkbox in the LAYER > ACTIVE LAYERS... dialog (to remove alpha channel artifacts)

Maybe this helps finding the effect you're looking for.

Beautiful!

Thanks! I have so much fun playing around with BT. Sadly I don't actually create much, just like tinkering with the settings and watching what happens.

Merry Christmas!

ALFA MEGA,

It's simple. Just download mine at the top and follow Michiel's instructions to modify it. It looks great! LostBoyz also provided his own tweak above too!

Good Luck,
