Hi Steveg,
I know this isn't exactly what you were looking for, but it is a fake way to almost accomplish the writing script you wanted. To me, it looks like how someone did a post that was removed recently... Hope it helps you. It's easily understood if you make the ambient light layer a gray color (170,170,170) and the "magic" is revealed!

It just occurred to me the clip effect can do the same, as Michiel pointed out in the original post. Guess I'm always thinking in a real world method (ie, index cards revealing the title) rather than the more magical effects of BT!

Yes, there are always many different ways to achieve the same!
I wonder if a complex AI algorithm that figures out a human way of writing the text will be noticed with this speed. Probably nobody will see the difference with your trick 🤣
