The answer is yes. BluffTitler can export its animations in HD.

There's nothing mystical or magical about HD, it's just a higher resolution.

You can set the resolution by:
-choosing the menu item FILE > SET SHOW RESOLUTION…
-by clicking the SET SHOW RESOLUTION... button on the tool window
-or by pressing CONTROL R

This displays a dialog in which you can set:
-the horizontal resolution
-the vertical resolution
-the display aspect ratio
-the pixel aspect ratio

Presets are available for all SD and HD formats.

Higher resolution require more video memory, so make sure your graphics card has at least 256 MB. Nowadays this is no longer an issue because all new PCs seem to be equipped with graphics cards with 1 GB video memory!

If you export as still frames does that affect memory requirements one way or the other?

Exporting your show as still frames requires the same amount of video memory as exporting it as a video file.
