LostBoyz, chaver, Ilja and 9 others like this!
Version 16.6.0.3, launched today, can export a sketch layer as GLB that is animating its WRITER prop.
Every time the WRITER prop changes, BluffTitler generates a new mesh. This is simple and flexible, but impossible for a GLB file that can only animate the positions, rotations and sizes. We've found a solution that uses skinning. Basically, every point of the Bezier curve is turned into an animated joint used by a skinned mesh.
Skinning has been developed to animate avatars. Is BluffTitler the first app that uses this technology to animate 3D Bezier curves? We have not yet seen it on Sketchfab or elsewhere.
Have you?
The resulting model uses a skinned mesh with much more joints than the typical avatar. It's a valid model, but because of the number of joints it can confuse some players.
Blender works perfectly:

This online viewer, as always, works perfectly:

The Windows 3D Viewer app works fine, but fails when the number of joints is too high, which can happen when you export too many arrows: outerspace-software.com...
Sketchfab renders it perfectly, however the converted GLB download fails. So instead download the original format:

We've already contacted Sketchfab about this issue.
As always, the latest version can be downloaded form the download page: outerspace-software.com...
Great Michiel, perfect! That's weird. My derived model works, but yours doesn't?You have to have it in the original format.

Michiel,I mean, I don't need to download the original format for the model I uploaded, converted ones are fine too, lol.

Yes, yes, yes, you did it again. Your R&D is working overtime👌.

Michiel den Outer is the founder and lead coder of Outerspace Software. He lives in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
If he isn't busy improving BluffTitler, he is playing the piano or rides the Dutch dikes on his bikes.
