Here are the release notes for BluffTitler version 15.8, launched today.
Version 15.8 introduces a new explosion system called FRAGMENT EXPLOSION. In contrast to the existing EXPLOSION property, that simply uses the mesh polygons, it deconstructs text, vector, traced bitmap, picture an video layers in solid fragments.
It's not only about destruction, the screenshot shows an example how the fragments can be used to create a fresh new text style. The show comes with the installer: Text\ExplosionText3.bt
The new explosion system explodes the text into solid fragments and can be controlled by 2 new properties FRAGMENT EXPLOSION and FRAGMENT EXPLOSION SIZE:

And the fact that the complete installer is still only some 52 Mb including all the shows, textures, models etc. is simply astounding as far as I'm concerned. Thats a lot of good stuff in a very small package.
Add to that the entire installation takes about 10 seconds.

Magnificent effect. I wanted to ask for a clarification please, this effect is only found in new text layers or can also be applied to old animations. Thanks for the outstanding and continuous work.

Franco, the FRAGMENT EXPLOSION property is only available for a limited number of styles including FLAT, SOLID and STROKED. So you might have to switch to one of those styles in order to use the new prop:

Thanks Michiel I didn't realize that maybe the old animation wasn't set to those properties. Thank you very much, a fabulous effect with tons of possibilities to create new things
