I downloaded this beautiful chess set from Sketchfab:
sketchfab.com...
When I bring it into Bluff it doesn't look like the same.
What Am I doing wrong?
What puzzles me is that the colours of the pieces are very dark. For example the white pieces are set to (79, 74, 56). I tried to correct this by setting the COLOUR prop of the model layer very high to (681, 751, 951). This looks great but ruins the wood so, as Vincent says, I had to split the model into its submodels and treat them differently.
Basically it's the lighting that is not stored in the GLB file or ignored or overridden by the player that gives different results in different players. In this screenshot I added a second point light and set the SPECULAR COLOUR prop for both lights to (333, 67, 0). This creates the golden highlights. Play with the FX ROUGHNESS, METALNESS prop to fine-tune the effect.
I set the FX REFLECTION FACTOR prop of the model layer to 0.3 to make the cube map less prominent. Remember that the cube map is not stored in the GLB file. Every player uses its own texture and this can make the model look very differently. Sketchfab offers a collection of stock textures to choose from as you can see in Vincent's screenshot. BluffTitler defaults to Cubemap.dds from the installer that can be replaced by anything you want in the MEDIA > CHANGE TEXTURE... dialog.

Yes I agree, the black pieces are very dark. I'm trying to replace their textures with lighter PBR textures.
