Tintin, LostBoyz, chaver and 10 others like this!

My two (Vin)cents at Caustics in BluffTitler.

I used a png Image and made it from 256 to 2048 pixels
opengameart.org...
And used the Forcefields.cfx on it to make it move and stretch.

You can download it from here:

Great trick to use the Filters\ForceFields effect to animate the caustics texture! We make sure the next version of this effect understands the TEXTURE REPEAT prop. This way you do not have to scale the texture.

Also very nice lighting. The point and directional lights do magic with the water layer. Very subtle and artistic!

@Michiel

Maybe just maybe when you are changing the Texture Repeat prop. Could we have a Additive version of Forcefields too?

In this still image I used a new generated image of the caustic effect and used the NotLightened_Additive.cfx and the effect is with this more pronounced.

@komies, beautiful as usual!

But, am I going crazy or are the bubbles pulsing out in intervals from the letters?

I seriously see that on my screen, but didn't notice it in your video, and can't find anything in BT that would make them do that... Maybe a local PC/video card issue? I even moved the text to the bottom for the entire sequence and exported my modded new show to a video, and the pulsing is clearly there...

Please tell me there is some secret setting in BT causing this... It might make me sleep better at night!
;-)

Regardless, thanks for the neat (and inspiring) show!

When you export as video the pulsing is gone.
