I tried to download 3D objects from poly.google.com
and convert in x format.
So we can insert these models in BluffTitler!
And did it work?

Yes, but the object is in obj format you have to convert it with a program.
I use blender with a plugin.

Would be nice if Microsoft would implement a Windows codec architecture for 3D models similar to picture and video codecs. This way, installing an OBJ codec would be enough to make BluffTitler (and all other 3D apps!) read OBJ files.

Franco, it works and you can play with its appearance.
Michiel that would be nice. Maybe are there copyrights in the way??

Generally, file formats aren't copyrighted, only the data that they describe. In this case the 3D model.
It's tricky to write importers because file formats are rarely static. In practice they are constantly extended resulting in lots of different incompatible versions to support. No fun for a coder to write importers.
Plan was to continue supporting .X to stay compatible with old shows and adding support for Collada (.DAE). Franco showed with this post that this might not be a good plan...
