Easier with last BT version. The only difficulty is to adjust pos+rot when the layer joint is set to -1 to prevent a jolt at change.

When you press <Ctrl> + <Alt> + D, the active container is detached (the MODEL JOINT property is set to -1) and the POSITION, ROTATION and SIZE properties are adjusted to match the attached situation:
