I have just rendered a high Quality 20 second show 1920*1080 16:9 with just the rotating disco ball (which decentralized sent me a couple of days ago ) as a *.mov file using the QTRLE and the default setting and its rendered at 1Gb. I was surprised at the size of the file, is this sort of size to be expected? Cheers John

Maybe you dont have to set it as high quality ?

You didn't mention what format, MP4 or AVI. AVI will be huge because it's uncompressed, but MP4 will be much smaller due to being compressed.

What else do you have in the show?
When saving the 15 seconds download as those settings above.
It comes out to: 20.2 MB

I wished to save it as a *.mov with transparency to use in Vegas Pro 20. Which I have. I was just surprised at the size of the file.

I see. Well, if it works for what you need. Should be fine.
Maybe the others know of another way, sorry I'm not much help.
It's not something I do. Good luck.

Try these parameters. I use them to import in DaVinci Resolve
