My VLC player has just stater playing up displaying *.mov file generated from BT just wonder if this was unique to my PC or if anybody else is getting a similar problem. I shows the output as a blue cast. I can take and view the same file in Vegas Pro 19 it it shows as should be. I have the latest version of VLC and media player error report that states " We can't open the test video file it's encoded in rle format which isn't supported. . Could I have changed something without realising. Cheers John
The error says something about rle and the selected MOV coded is QTRLE. So selecting something without the text "RLE" might help.
It's easy to avoid the problem by exporting as uncompressed. This not only prevents all codec issues, but also gives you the best possible quality. Yes the files are huge, but this is irrelevant because they are only temporary files. Always try to postpone encoding to the very end: when the video is fully mixed in Vegas.
