vincent and songbaojin like this!

Perhaps if water layer could be mapped on a sphere, we could add lakes, rivers, ... on a planet like in Mission to Mars. Any idea on how to create water on a sphere ?

BixPack 42 has a template called Bonus1_MarsTerraforming.bt that looks like this.

And BixPack 25 comes with a few terraforming templates:

Franco has created a nice video demonstrating this effect:

A good idea, tried it and it works great!

Michiel, my question was about creating water on a sphere. In your example of Bix42 Valles Marineris image is on a plane. In Bix 25 I'd like to add water on Valles Marineris image mapped on a sphere as to use the animation of the aircraft along the canyon full of water.

Jeep is this what your looking for?

Hello Filip,

Yes but I should like to apply the water layer on a sphere or hemisphere (like a planet view). Your example seems to be on a plane layer and I know how to make that.

You are right it's a plane, but for now it looks quite right.

Filip, your water looks amazing. Did you add glow to it?

Michiel, thnx. And yes...a redish glow was added .

Ok, I found a clue with Earth.cfx that permits a water level, but the best should be to use a real water layer !
