Why not use Particle Illusion. The Standalone Version is free and now even allows 3d particles

there is a turnaround. You could use a video to gif converter. there are hundreds out there. just google video to gif

Filip, you can convert with our favorite program : BLUFFTITLER !!!
Insert your video in an empy show, adjust position, resolution and export as GIF.
Works only if ffmpeg.exe is defined as external encoder (BT settings)
