Bonjour à tous,
Pour une vidéo rétrospective de 2020, j’ai décidé de monter un calendrier dont les feuillets se détachent et s’envolent.
Voilà ce qui se produit avec le style « Cloth », un effet « gauffré » indésirable se produit. Voir la capture d’écran.
J’ai essayé, en vain, de trouver la solution en changeant l’éclairage, le type de fichier photo, les dimensions, etc.
J’ai comparé en utilisant le show « Shows\Picture\PageFlipper1.bt » où tout est normal avec mes fichiers photos, et en plus j’utilise régulièrement ce type de montage avec « Mes Carnets de Voyage ». Je ne comprends pas ce qui se produit.
Les fichiers mutimédia pour ce show vous montreront bien ce qui se prosuit.

Good morning all,
For a retrospective video of 2020, I decided to put together a calendar with the leaflets coming off and flying away.
This is what happens with the "Cloth" style, an unwanted "embossed" effect occurs. See the screenshot.
I tried unsuccessfully to find the solution by changing the lighting, photo file type, dimensions, etc.
I compared using the "Shows \ Picture \ PageFlipper1.bt" show where everything is normal with my photo files, and in addition I regularly use this type of editing with "My Travel Diaries". I do not understand what is happening.

Not sure what is happening here. We'll take a closer look at it at a later time. Thank you for the report!
For now I advise you not to use the CLOTH style and set all picture layers to PLANE (1st dropdown below the textbox)

Oh, and the JPG/MP4 banding effect in the background can be fixed by applying the Filters\Noise effect to the plasma layer. Play around with FX NOISE prop until it is gone. The best value depends on the amount of compression you use so this takes some experimenting.

Thank you Michiel for these super quick answers and sorry for not being so swift in answering you, due to the 3 hours of freedom granted by the Covid containment administration. There's no shortage of three hours soaking up the high altitude sun!??
Right now, I'll apply your advice and at worst I'll go back to the "Plane" Style option.

Michiel, I just did some testing and you're right about the compression ratio (if I understand correctly).
In low quality, the undesirable effect has disappeared (or almost), to the detriment of the aliasing effect of the leaf borders.
The higher the quality, the more visible this effect is, and the less the aliasing effect, of course, is noticeable.
I have time to finish this project, so at the last moment if we have no other solution, I will export this calendar in the adequate quality in avi with transparent background and I will integrate it in a high edit or very high definition.

There are 2 things:
1) The banding effect in the background. This is caused by the JPG/MP4 compression. It can be fixed by applying the Filters\Noise effect to the plasma layer. Please do not switch to low quality.
2) The picture layer cloth artifact. We found out that it is caused by the limited time resolution. It happens when the 1st slider of the FLEXIBILTY prop is very small. We will try to fix it in a next version of the app. For now, switch style from CLOTH to PLANE.

Hello Michiel and Filip,
I temporarily got around the problem by making a 30 '' show instead of the initial 7 '', in avi with a transparent background and in very high quality.
Then I inserted it on Magix VDL by applying a speed modification. See the test link below:
