if I hook a container level to a sketch level, how do I eventually remove / unhook it?

As I recal you choose from the menu: <LAYER> <Attach Layer> <Detach Layer>

Franco you're right.
This works:
Ad a new container, go to the container attached to the sketch.
Choose menu: <LAYER> <Attach Layer> <Attach active layer..> and attach it to it to the new container.
Then you can CHOOSE menu: <LAYER> <Attach Layer> <Detach Layer...>
@Michiel this is not the way it should work..am I right?

We've managed to reproduce and fix the issue. In the next version it will be possible to detach a container from a sketch.
