I tried different setting and used for the first time the Time dilation slider and set this to 0 to freeze the time. I increased the speed at the beginning and set the Lifetime to a higher value.
See the effects in the attached show.
And indeed it's a different show but fun to tune en try out a different angle.

Notice that the blob gets jaggies when particles fly far away. For this reason it's best to keep them all in the same limited area.
