Whilst trying to draw freehand an individual name.. Vicki... the letters do not appear as written. I.e. the program does not draw then remain true freehand, its as if it tries to resort to some sort of shape. Is this to be expected?
Yes this is by design: your line is smoothed when you release your mouse.
After drawing, choose EDIT > Edit sketch... to make it perfect.
