In Windows 10 after update I can't import mp4 video.
the mp4 export works instead.
I checked the codes and nothing changed.
What can you depend on?
The error is "Cold not add the source filter to the graph"
ok I installed K-lite codec again and now it works.
I leave the message anyway because it could help someone!

I cannot import Mp4 files into Blufftitler as my Win10 laptop does not appear to have the correct codec. I am reluctant to install the K-lite codec as I have heard of several adverse comments about K-lite codec program can cause problems with other programs and the O/S along with the installer having adware attached etc. Never mind, Michiel I love the program and will use workarounds as and when the situation arises.

Then only (re)install the LAV filters and set them as preferred under menu: Settings/ options/ drivers.

GitHub, Never having installed the program, are you given an option during installation to only install the LAV filters? Sorry to be a bit dense on this but I really do not understand the intricacies of Codecs (its an age related problem)

Being a pioneer now a days is a lot different regardless of age, now you want tried and tested software without the clutter.
The K-Lite package contains a lot of different codecs (filters) and other software but also the LAV filters.
The GitHub Developers trusted community website offer the LAV filters only, just select the method of installing (exe or zip) and select the x64 for the splitter, video and audio filters. github.com...
And in the blue bottom link some more info about BluffTitler and codecs information.

Thanks very much for the useful information, will attempt tomorrow. As I have another issue today with updating my Nvidia graphic driver for use in Vegas Pro, just waiting for the third thing to pop up to make my day. Thanks once again, very kind of you.

komies, found time, installed and working as sweet as a nut. Added these codecs to the program automatically in settings/Options/Drivers. Once again many thanks.
