is there a fast method or a command to place a parallel object to the camera?
I mean:
sometimes, the camera rotates in space to point other objects during animation and I need to make pictures or images appear at that point, but you have to place them in space and rotate them many times. Do not you get a way to do it fast?
(the object, later on, must move and animate from that point onwards.)
A command "aligns object to the camera".
I can manually copy camera data, but I have to position and rotate. Can not create a new command?
Thank you !
Effects\Special\RotateTowardsCamera.cfx
This effect keeps your layer oriented towards the camera. When the FX XYZ property is set to 0, the layer is only rotated in the horizontal (XZ) plane. When the FX LETTERS property is set to 0, the text is rotated instead of the individual letters.
You can attach the object on to the same sketch as the camera in attached with or without writer offset and animate this layer separately.
Good luck and have fun

Thank you Komies,
maybe I did not understand well or I explained wrong,
I would like to turn the camera to a point,
and when I click to make a new text appear
that it was displayed at that time aligned with the camera.
Then rotate the camera again and create a new text aligned with the camera, only at that point.
So I could place the text (or other layer) in space by rotating and moving the camera and making it aligned with the camera where I want it. If I have an effect then I can not use another, instead, a command that copies the camera coordinates only at the time the layer was created, after the objects would be independent!

That would be a nice feature for building larger sets and would have to be made by the Outerspace Software team (Michiel).
For now use the same sketch layer as the camera or clone the sketch or clone twice for left and right of the camera by making that cloned sketch larger and the other smaller in size, now you only have to use the first position property of that text layer to place it in 3d space along with the camera.
For Picture, Container...... they need there own sketch (clone) and they move along the sketch with the writer property of there (invisible) sketch layer.
I've build this parking garage by cloning the nearest similar object and move this in 3d space and then change the shape and texture and effect as needed. The sketch trick would of helped then and your suggestion too.
The F2 coordinate system helped also to locate an object.

Thank you Komies,
why is a layer created in a space 0 even if the room is moved?
Franco Aversa, 7 years ago
Because there is no room?
There is just space and to make sure a new object can independently move in each direction equally far.
If you make a room and you want an object part of that room then make the room in a container and attach the objects to that container now when you move the room all other objects in that (container) room will move accordingly.
Otherwise there are a large amount of objects with a fixed space that look to be moving as one when the camera moves past these objects.
Keep in mind that BluffTitler is a text animator at his core to make short video's.

sorry...I'm stupid.
I didn't want to write "room" but "camera" because in italian room and camera are the same worlds

Hi Michiel,
I think it should not be difficult to create a button "aligns with the camera"
that copies position and rotation on a layer.
Thank you for your constant commitment!
