Wow! I'm puzzled here. How did you animate the lamp???

michiel, 9 years ago

each piece is separately and each has a different value axis of rotation.
all tucked into a layer of container.
the first thing you should do before you start the animation is to place the center of rotation.
the second is to encourage steps up and down.
once we step up and down, as we generate as many keys as needed, then later is only copy and paste the keys we need

That's amazing. The movements are very realistic. I'm impressed!!!

The shadows look amazing. One minor detail: the spotlight cone is also generating a shadow. Maybe you can prevent this by marking the NEVER GENERATE SHADOWS checkbox in the LAYER > ACTIVE LAYER PROPERTIES dialog.

The light from the lamp is a model (x.) That comes along with the head of the lamp.
this design it this way so that light could follow the same path as the head when the move.
I tried to remove the property (fx light factor) but this does not remove the shadow from the ground, I think it is because it is a model.

If you have created the model yourself, you could make the light cone a separate submodel, render it by its own model layer and prevent this layer from generating shadows by marking the NEVER GENERATE SHADOWS checkbox in the LAYER > ACTIVE LAYER PROPERTIES dialog.
