Other than manually tracing an image in Bixangelo, is there any way of converting a line-art image to a sketch eps for use with Bluff Titler?
You can use the Marquee Lights effect to animate the outline of the text and EPS layers:

Hi Michiel,
Thanks for the suggestion.
That helps me if I only want the outline of some text or outline of an image, but not if there is an image that has inner lines, and also I cannot attach a picture layer as you can to a Sketch Layer.

I used Bixangelo to trace the image in this video, and as You can see, I'm not very good at tracing.
I'd like to have had the sketch eps created automatially from the image by Bixangelo

Very nice!
The problem with automatically traced pictures is that they look like they have been drawn by a paint robot in a car factory. I prefer your version. It has much more character. Much more emotion. Much more expression.

I agree about there being more character in the hand-drawn images ... and it's fine for little images ... but more complicated images will be a real pain in the ******** ...
With hand tracing, it only needs one small twitch of the mouse in the wrong direction .... and you have to start again.

I will ask the development team to implement an undo button for the auto tracing feature :)

That would be a great help.

I have a Bamboo tablet, but I've found that it's easier to use the mouse than the pen.

Maybe what is needed is to add a masking tool/option for Bixelangelo.
Instead of tracing a picture to create a new picture, trace over the original to create a new mask instead. Then import the picture and mask into BT as two layers. When you run it, it reveals the original picture as if it's being drawn. Slight variations in the mask won't matter as long as the mask stays over the line.
Everything else would work the same as it does now. Different pen sizes, and keyframes let you adjust how fast the artwork is revealed.

I was trying that option last night, and managed to get something working, by doing a trace sketch and a convert image to sketch.
But it seems that there is some difference in the coordinates and sizes that are produced by the different methods.
Also the "convert image to sketch" can start drawing lines in 2 directions at the same time, and, obviously, you can't trace an image in 2 directions at the same time.

In After Effects the Stroke plugin is used as I described above to reveal whatever is underneath them. You have the option of drawing the masks sequentially or all at once. The all at once option could allow drawing in 2 directions at the same time. It would in fact draw all the masks at the same time whether there were 2 or 200.
Only Michiel can answer if that's even possible in BT.

When you use the CONVERT SKETCH > CONVERT PICTURE TO SKETCH option in Bixelangelo the result looks exactly the same as the original, only it is animated. For this reason you do not have to render the original as well and do all kinds of complex things with masks to reveal the original.
This option indeed renders multiple lines at the same time. It is not meant to make it look like it is being drawn by a human. Instead it is meant to make it grow like a tree. To animate ornaments like this:

Would it be possible to add an option to grow only one line at a time?

maybe the posibilitie to set some (rubber) points like in
Vasco da Gama can help correcting the trace.
