Hey Michiel, been a while hope you're ok.
I just bought the bixpack and i want to use the "scifi_text2 screen" bt show for my club but i want to replace the picture on the "monitor main" layer with a video i made from a previous bt show. Maybe im being a bit basic but i just cant seem to work out how to do it. If it is possible can you point me in the right direction.

Replacing a static picture by a video is as easy as pressing the SELECT VIDEO... button in the F9 dialog.
Of course you have to select the layer first with the dropdown above the PLAY button. You can use the VISIBLE checkbox if you are not sure if you have selected the right layer. If the layer disappears when you temporarily unmark this checkbox you have selected the right layer.

ok i'm stuck again...
When i put the video in the place of the picture and play the show it doesn't play the video on the screen it opens another "active movie window" and plays the vid but not in the show. That was an mpgII video so i tried converting the format but i only got the vid playing in the window or an error message saying it couldn't render an output pin. I've tried mpgI, mpgII, windows avi, MP4, and DVD NTSC and PAL but none of them work. Can you help?

Try WMV.
Please take a look at the video layer page of the user guide for more info:
