My BluffTitler application is running the shows very slowly and jittery and is sometimes freezing, especially when exporting. This happened before AND after updating to the latest version this morning. A few months ago everything was running perfect. I have a higher end Windows 10 PC. Any tips or optimization ideas to speed things up?

I have the same problem. I suspect maybe I need more virtual ram.
Tips, you may already know:
1. Turn off shadows. If you plan to have shadows turn them back on for rendering only, not while working still.
2. If crashing while rendering. Split the video into sections.
3. Use all disk cleaners and defrags, turn off all other aps.

Have you already tried switching to normal quality?

To do that, choose the menu item SETTINGS > NORMAL QUALITY.

OK... I set it to Settings to NORMAL and that definitely helps. Still some pausing when doing the BIXPACK 7 shows, but much better. Does this setting affect the exported video quality? Any other optimizing tips outside of Bluff in Windows or with my video settings?

Eric when you are finished editing your show .switch back to high quality and export and you will be fine

Templates 26 to 30 from BixPack 7 use the jc_spotLight.obj 3D model in combination with light beams. The moment the light beams are turned on (with the BEAM LENGTH prop of the light layer) it takes a few seconds to generate the edges that produce the beams. This is a one time initialization that is performed not by your graphics card, but by your CPU.

BluffTitler uses a vertices budget to protect the frame rate and loading time. This prevents the app from freezing. This budget is gradually increased every version because hardware becomes more powerful. In the current version it is set to 2.5 million which is required to render highly detailed 3D models. So it's possible that a newer version runs slower because it renders more vertices.
