I am new to BluffTitler. Started working with the flag template. No problem at the beginning. I wanted to use the template to display a banner horizontally. No problem there. All of a sudden I started to get weird movements that seemed to be a glitch. The properties were pretty similar to the one I was able to make work fine. The only difference here is that I rotated the flag, so I can present it as a wide banner. I have gone through the help and moved things here and there without success. Please assist. 🙏

Make sure the flag is on accelerate and decelerate.

Decentralized, thanks for your help. I made the change, but no effect.

Maybe setting the WIND NOISE prop to a smaller value is what you're looking for.

michiel, I played with all the settings, including Wind Noise. I suspected the computer was the issue. Solution:

I was doing this on my MacBook Pro 15-inch, 2018. Radeon Pro Vega 20 4GB + Intel UHD Graphics 640 1536 MB. I was using Windows 11 (not activated). with Parallels (App Store Latest Version). I opened the project on an older iMac using Windows 10 with Parallels 15, and everything works well.

The way Help works on the program is very intuitive, Kudos! Learning a new program with as many options as yours can be overwhelming. I have jumped in and out since I purchased without making a full commitment. I have seen what can be done, and it's like I need to get this stuff 😂 . Also, thanks to you and Decentralized for jumping in to help!!!! This is very encouraging.

I also took a look @ Bixelangelo and was looking for some BixPacks that I could adapt to my industry. We have a printing company.

Thanks again for the support. I look forward to becoming a contributor myself.

Kindly,

EdwardL

Happy to hear it all works now!

If the problem reoccurs, take a look at this installer show:
WavingFlag\_WavingFlagLesson8.bt

This rotated flag uses a WIND DIRECTION of (0, -2, 1), which makes sense when the flag is hanging down.

Also remember that the flag simulation uses random elements (it's non-deterministic). For this reason it always looks differently. So you might have to render your video a few times until you see what you like.

michiel,
Yes, I have seen the randomness, and compensated by creating a 20 sec render. I pulled what I liked from there.
Truly appreciate your help!
Kindly,
