Hi I made this video but instead of having it loop 3 times I would like it just to extend out at the end is that possible?

I'm not sure what you mean with "extend out at the end", but maybe this is what you are looking for:
-choose FILE > SET SHOW DURATION...
-enter the desired duration (3 times the current duration?)
-click on the ADD TO END button

But if you watch the video you can see beaks every 5 seconds of so where the video loops. I would like it to play smoothly all through the end

So it's a 5 second show that loops 5 times?
The principle stays the same. When you click on the ADD TO END button in the FILE > SET SHOW DURATION... dialog, time is added to the show without repeating it.

You can also create playlist, with the Playlist window and add the same show 5 times.
You find the Playlist window in the Settings menu.
