Kanon likes this!

can I do this in BT? I am currently using X file 3D objects. I prefer the cleaner EPS file but how do I get the logo = powerpoint logo and others with the nice BT 3D edge from fx. the traced pic png extruded options from BT is no good for me = i want eps clean files

The quality of the Traced picture layer can be increased in 2 ways:
-tracing a higher resolution PNG
-choosing the menu item SETTINGS > High quality

This screenshot uses a 1600 x 1600 PNG in high quality.

thanks michiel

lets say I do not have high res images from my client then what?
EPS from bixorama are just amazing.. if i want to keep all the logos in eps ..how can i do this? for example my png images are only 400 x 400 pix

When you say Bixorama, you mean Bixelangelo, right?

EPS files created by an external tracer in Bixelangelo are smooth, but do not match the outline of your PNG. The idea of BluffTitler's and Bixelangelo's built-in tracer is to match the outline of your PNG. That's a different approach and necessary to prevent gaps at the borders. That's also the reason you need a high resolution PNG.

If you insist, use a vector layer:

Apply your PNG as the texture and use the TEXTURE POSITION and TEXTURE SIZE properties to match the outline.

And apply the AdvancedMaterials\ColourmapFrontReflectionmapSides effect to create a shining border.

Realize that all this is automated by the traced picture layer... and without the gaps.
