@Michiel I try to find out how the shows are made. While doing this I found a small difference in the basic pictures and the masked pictures or masked (textured) Sketches. The pictures didn't match.
I solved it by changing the style of the basic picture form "3d in background" to "fullscreen in background"

It looks like your post has a small error as well because your link does not work ?
But I think I know what you mean. The background pictures deliberately use offsets. This makes them more interesting. Compare the 2 versions in the above screenshot. The 3 eyes version is more exciting.
If this is too arty for your taste or your project, it can be fixed with the trick you described.

I'm not so arty I think. More precise and maybe mathematical. Although I never was any good at it ?
