That you can't control...I have been using BT since version 2 I think...a long time...I'm now faced with a bit of a problem that I'm hoping someone out there can assist me with...back in February we lost our house to a fire. All of the contents were also lost....fortunately, I was able to secure my data from two of my computers onto a new hard drive...I have secured a new computer and now have upgraded to BT Ultimate Version 13.0.0.3...I have many BT shows (files with .BT extension) on my new hard drive that I would like to use in the new version on the new computer....I'm now aware of the method of saving shows and the media that I was never aware of before...I will start using that now but when I want to use an old BT show, the files don't open completely because the program can't find the media...has anyone had experience moving your BT files from one computer to another and are there any tips you can provide to me ?....I have all the media, I just need to know where to put it so when the show file opens, it knows where the media is....I hope that makes sense and I appreciate any help / support you guys can provide. (p.s. we will be back in our rebuilt house in about 6 weeks so I look forward to setting up my office and computers the way they were)

I would use the same folder structure on my new computer. This not only helps BluffTitler, but all apps. When I move to another computer, all I have to do is to copy the D:\Michiel folder and Bob's your uncle!

This is also the only folder I have to backup. Easy!

The circumstances behind your problems are of course unfortunate. But on the subject at hand, I did a sort of restart with Blufftitler recently and in that upgraded to Ultimate etc.

Like Michiel says. So as to get a well working workflow in place for future BluffTitling, I spent a few hours in cleaning up all my all old shows, Bixpacks and accompanying files, moving all separate BT-media into their respective repositories that are created when you install BluffTitler. Everything.

I am very happy I went through that process. Takes quite a while but it makes working with BT very simple once you're done. I now make very sure to put all new files from Bixpacks or graphics of my own creation in the same directory-structure so that all BT-shows I have on my computer can open everything from wherever I have the actual BT-show. All my BT-media is now very easily backed up from one main directory, "C:\Program Files\BluffTitler\Media", to a separate hard drive and very easily restored or moed if need be.

I seriously do not recommend saving a show with media to another place on your computer unless you really have to. I used to do that quite a lot which is one reason I ended up with a huge number of duplicates with no "version control" and all sorts of the kind of issue you describe.

Also, when you buy a Bixpack, make sure the first thing you do is move all media files to where they belong.
