Tintin, Dani, persiana and 3 others like this!
Hello everyone,
first my thanks are going to michiel and all creators of this wonderful software blufftitler.
With this software I was able to create my first cartoon and 3D animation.
By the way it is also a documentation of our private singer events, realised by the community "Die Insel".
I have sung there the german version of the netherland country song "120 Varkens naar Beiroet", sang also by the german comedian Mike Krüger - "120 Schweine nach Beirut".
Very interesting feature I used is the effect, to use a video as texture on a 3D model with multiplication of the scene.
Thanks also to all creators of free 3D models, I used in the scene.
I wish you much fun watching it! Here is the link:
youtube.com...
God may bless you and all makers of blufftitler!
Great concept! Welcome to this community!
We're currently working on a water layer. Thank you for reminding us that this also has to be useful for compositions like this.
Here's a demo of the new work-in-progress water effect. We'll make sure making your sailboat float in the water is going to be as easy as marking the FLOAT IN WATER menu item:

Thanks for your positive feedback! :-)
@Michiel: I´m eager to use the great water layer. Ships and others like seagulls would be so realistic in swimming!
What is with a wind effect for things like sails or grass / plants to create a realistic nature in the landscape?
I found your great cloth effect for flags. Is it possible to use it for 3d Models?
Great would be as an example a wavering of trees in the wind...

The cloth effect would indeed look amazing applied to the sails. To do this we need to know the fixed points: how the sail is connected to the mast and the boom. This information isn't stored in the model file so we need a tool to add this information. Another option could be to create a few sail presets that can be scaled and moved to replace the sails in the models.
I really like your periscope. It's cute! Maybe it's a nice effect to move the camera to the point of view of the periscope!

Right, michiel. I shoud have take some sequences out of view of periscope perspective and cut them in the video sequencer program.
Anyway I noticed, that a rendering of the video was only to the size of 1280 x 720 possible (or 1440 x 1080), but not Full HD (1920x1080). Then comes an error.
Is it because of the complexity (high detailed models, etc.) and length?

Maybe a problem with an exotic frame sizes (Width x Height), it's better to keep a standard dimensions.
