I am having a problem that just came up when I uploaded latest update. When I add a video to my show and try and export as movie, the program crashes. It only happens when there is a video in the show. The videos are AVIs and I never had the problem before. I use windows 10, but it was never an issue with the program until recently.
This is unfortunately difficult to fix because it must be a video codec on your machine that is behaving badly.
A video codec is a 3rd party software component that is responsible for handling a particular video format.
BluffTitler does not know anything about any video format. The installer does not come with any codec: it totally depends on the codecs that are already installed on your machine. ...and there are thousands of codecs all with their unique bugs.
You could try installing new codecs:
codecpackguide.com...
Or select another codec in the DRIVERS tab of the SETTINGS > OPTIONS dialog of BluffTitler.
If this does not work, you could try converting your video to another format.
Most practical way however is not to use the video layer, export your title with transparency info and do the mixing in your NLE:
