AND AM NEW TO MAPPING LAYER AND EFFECTS CAN SOMEONE GIVE A LINK ON TUTOR ON THIS SUBJECT.

When you say "MAPPING" you mean texture mapping, right?
Texture mapping is nothing more than pasting a picture onto a 3D model.
There's no such thing as a "MAPPING LAYER". Any picture can be used as a texture on any layer type. For example the very same picture can by used in a text layer just as easy as in a picture layer.
