Happy Holidays everyone!
I am creating a promotional video for a website. I created the website in my show by putting each of the windows of the homepage into its own container. The first 1.5 seconds of the show all the windows are flying into the screen to form the homepage. I did this by modifying the size, position, rotation of not just the pics, vids and other items but by also modifying the containers themselves.
The problem is now I want to have the entire website (as a single unit) slowly rotate and fly around the screen while other items appear in the foreground. I now realize that will entail a lot of manipulation of each container and what I should have done was create all the components in one large container.
So my question is...How do I go about moving each item into one container while retaining the items size, position, rotation...?
I thought by "Saving" and "Loading" each items Preset would do the job but there is also the original items Container movement and positioning to deal with.
Any ideas or should I just resign myself to starting over?
I did that with a personal tool that i have created especially for my Jukebox show because i made the same error as you.
You can manipulate the BT file with a text editor too, but it's no easy. Maybe Michiel have a solution for you but i think it will be in a future version.

Maybe you can animate "the entire website (as a single unit) " by animating the camera layer.

That's how I discovered I had a problem. I have other items appearing on the screen that need to maintain their independent positions.

If those items are picture layers you can use the 2D IN FOREGROUND mode (2nd dropdown below the textbox)

All kinds of items, including pictures. Looks like I have to start over since BT doesn't allow nested Containers. I hope this is remedied in the future because it seems like a serious drawback.

Child containers is already on the 2do list, thank you for pushing this!
I find it interesting that you call yourself a "Newbie" because the container layer is an advanced feature and child containers are only requested by wizard level users. If possible I would love to see examples of your work in this gallery!

Animating the camera layer works exactly the same as any other layer.
For example if you want to change the position of the camera:
1) select the camera layer with the dropdown above the PLAY button
2) select the POSITION property with the dropdown above the 3 sliders
3) adjust the position with the 3 sliders
In the same way you can change all the other properties of the camera layer, including its rotation and field of view.

I'm a Newbie when it comes to BT but have quite a few years of experience in video and graphical editing, especially in 2D anime. I've become quite used to using multiple sub-layers, "containers" in my work and just took it for granted I could do that with BT.
Once I get a little further in this project I'll post something for your review.
