hgta, rsp, michiel and 1 other like this!
Using the Filmstrip feature to create color-flashing backgrounds.
Interesting use of the cartoon shading textures as filmstrips. Great to see those textures being used for something completely different than what they've been designed for. Very inspirational!
I've noticed you're also animating the ambient light colour. Are you aware that this only affects the picture layers when they are set to "3D Lighting" mode? (second dropdown listbox)

Always happy to inspire, but with a fun program like this there's all sorts of stuff to experiment with!
The ambient light color was animated unintentionally. I based ColorFlash on the "BluffTitler 2" show that came with the latest update. At one point I was playing with the color settings to see if different text colors would improve the effect I was after. I decided not, but forgot to delete the keyframes on this layer.
I made this suggestion with regards to keyframes once before: it would be helpful to be able to see all keyframes for all layers at the same time on the keyframes bar. For instance black dots for the keyframes of non-active layers and -- as is the case now -- black and blue lines for the active layer.
This would give a better overview of the whole shows progression (also revealing possible anomalies) and would greatly help in editing a particular effect with regards to other keyframed effects on other layers.

I can see the black dots idea working, but I can also imagine it being confusing for beginning users. We will do some experiments to see how it works. Thanks for your suggestion!

Just bought Bluff Titler so I am new to this program. I like your project. I would like to use your creation but how would I eliminate the flashing bright lights?
Thanks Max2000

You can turn the flashing lights off by performing the following steps:
1) select layer 4 (with the dropdown above the PLAY button)
2) select the FILMSTRIP FRAMES PER SECOND property (with the dropdown above the 3 sliders)
3) set this property to 0 (using the text box to the right of the first slider)
Now do the same for layers 5 and 6
Note that the flashing lights is the whole idea of this animation. Removing the flashing lights is like removing the carne from chili con carne.

your right I won't mess with your project.
thanks Max
